Silhouette Giveaway Blog Hop!!!

Well howdy everyone!!
I've got a fun post happening today so I'm glad you've joined me.

Today Silhouette America is having a blog hop ... and I'm the last one on the list.  So if you've been on the hop to all of the other gals blogs and have finally landed here (after visiting Amy Cox's blog last) then you're in the right place!!

As you have noticed already each of the Silhouette America Designers are hosting a Giveaway on their blog and today I am doing the same thing!!  I will share my giveaway at the end of my blog post but first I'd like to share these fun little projects with you.

I created a variety of Christmas/Holiday themed gift tags using the fabulous Silhouette Printable Kraft Paper.  This is one of my favourite Silhouette products and I used it often on layouts and other types of projects.

So here's the first set of tags that I made.

I began by using these sentiment files (Noel & Merry Christmas) that I placed onto a tag shape.
I then coloured in the sentiment by filing in the colour to black and the line colour to black.  I then printed those sentiments (using the Registration marks) through my printer.
After it printed onto the Kraft paper I ran it through my Silhouette to cut the tag shapes ... and voila!

Then I made 4 smaller round shaped tags.
These 3d cutout tag shapes are already created for you in the Silhouette online store - Angel, Tree, poinsettia, bird.

I simple added some text to 2 of the tags shapes printed those out first and then ran the kraft paper through my Silhouette and cut out the various shaped tags.  I then cut out the larger shaped tags from 4 different colored pieces of card stock and then adhered the kraft paper on to those.  In order for the adhesive kraft paper to not stick (on the cut-out shapes) I simply rubbed a bit of baby powder on the backside and this removes the stickiness.

I also created this fun card using the Printable Kraft paper and my sketch pens.
I found this great phrase ("have yourself a merry little christmas") and decided it would look good on the kraft coloured paper.

After inserting it onto the tag shape (in Silhouette studio) I simply ungrouped the image and then highlighted the words that I wanted to sketch with in certain colours.  Make sure that you also click on NO CUT in the cut setting window so that the design will only sketch and not cut later.

I love the glitter green sketch pen as it has a bit of sparkle - just perfect for the holiday season!

I used the red sketch pen and another sentiment onto a pennant design which I used as an envelope label. So fun!
